🫶 What worked for me…
“Blacktop Wasteland” by S.A. Cosby made Time Magazine’s 100 best mystery and thriller books of all time, and I can understand why. After I read the first chapter of this book, I had to tell my husband what happened. Why? Because after I finished the first chapter, I said aloud, “Wow, this book is amazing!” to which he replied, “How would you know it’s that good? You’ve only read the first 15 pages!” Ha ha! In short, it started out by capturing my attention and maintained it throughout the entire book.
Also, Cosby has an amazing way of writing in which I felt, at the time, that I was watching an organized crime movie. It was violent and brutal. It was poverty and racism. It was an important message as to what lengths some people are forced into to make their lives better.
🤷♀️ What didn’t work for me…
Absolutely nothing! This book was perfection.
🤔 Would I recommend it…
Yes, please read this if you enjoy crime movies or action movies, especially with fast cars.
