Book Review – The Last Time I Lied by Riley Sager

Emma Davis is finally returning after fifteen years of witnessing her three friends leave their cabin at Camp Nightingale and never return. Emma is now a successful artist and has been invited back to teach art at the girls’ camp. She’s always had her suspicions that the camp owners’ family had something to do with the disappearance of her friends. Does she have a good reason to suspect them?

This is a wonderful campy summer thriller. Not exactly my favorite Riley Sager book as the meat of the story doesn’t take up much of the book. We are talking about the thrill, and that really didn’t happen until the last 1/4 of the book. That being said, the ending was incredibly fast but unique.

Overall, if you’re looking for an escape back to your teenage years at a summer camp, this is for you! It’s a slower-developing story with a unique ending.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/5
