“So Thirsty” by Rachel Harrison follows Sloane Parker, a seemingly boring adult dreading her next birthday, and her risk-taking friend, Naomi, as the two venture out for an exciting birthday weekend gifted by Sloane’s husband. However, after a sexually adventurous evening at a stranger’s mansion, their lives take a permanently sinister turn. Can they adapt and overcome?
I cannot rave enough about how much I loved this novel. I was completely invested in the storyline, the characters, the vampires, and the romance! As overbearing and risk-taking as Naomi is, you just have to love her determination to get Sloane out of her comfort zone.
In reference to the romantic aspect of the novel, it is just enough. It’s not intensely spicy with open-door scenes, but it’s done well enough for you to use some of your imagination. Harrison’s descriptions of the sexy vampire, Henry, are perfect and make you truly want to get to know him better.
I would personally love a second follow-up book with Sloane, Naomi, and the whole family involved. The book was just enough to develop a story, but when I finished it, I felt the need for more. I want to know what happens to everyone, how Sloane and Naomi adapt and overcome, and maybe what adventures they go on with their newfound family.
Either way, I absolutely adored the story, and I highly recommend adding this one to your spooky book list.
