Book Review – “The Last Word” by Taylor Adams

The Last Word by Taylor Adams follows Emma Carpenter, who is living in isolation as a housesitter for a family by the ocean. Emma is a voracious reader and recently read a book by H.G. Kane that was absolutely terrible and deserved a one-star rating. Unfortunately, H.G. Kane cannot let this review go after putting his heart and soul into writing the book. Disturbing incidents begin to occur, and Emma can’t help but believe that Kane is behind it all.

This was amazing! I enjoyed every aspect of this novel, from the secluded setting to the non-stop, nerve-wracking action and the twists. There are twists after twist in this novel, and it certainly kept me on my toes.

For the record, I’m not exaggerating my thoughts because I’m scared Adams will come at me like Kane. It is just legitimately good! As a book reviewer, I can’t tell you how apprehensive I was to read and review this book. Read it and find out what happens to Emma. I mean, it was published in May 2023, and I did sit on it for this long, but it’s so worth it. I wish I had read it sooner.

I highly recommend this action-packed thriller.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5
