The funny thing is that Avril doesn’t recognize the woman whose chance at an amazing career she ruined: Jade. Jade wants revenge on Avril, so in the middle of the night, she swaps her constantly crying newborn with Avril’s content and quiet newborn. Will her crime go unnoticed?

This cat-and-mouse chase is full of suspense and drama, and I slightly enjoyed it due to its fast pacing. Unfortunately, there were so many unbelievable moments that it caused me pain from rolling my eyes. If you know, you know.
The ending was unexpected, so that’s a plus. Overall, I still plan on reading another Daniel Hurst book because I’ve heard so many good things about his work; however, this one just wasn’t for me.
