“The Book of Cold Cases” by Simone St. James follows Shea Collins, a medical receptionist by day and a cold case true crime blogger by night. She dives deep into the Lady Killer case when she sees the woman, Beth, who was accused and acquitted of two murders, walk into her medical office. Shea approaches Beth with a request for an interview, and surprisingly, she grants the request. When she meets Beth at her mansion, she wonders if Beth is capable of such a crime or if her home holds all the answers.
This was a phenomenal paranormal thriller! I absolutely ate every bit of it up! St. James always seems to have a way of writing that grips you from the first page to the last, and this did just that for me. I enjoyed Shea’s character and looked forward to seeing how much she would uncover.
If you’re looking for your next crime thriller with spooky paranormal events, then this is it!
