New Review – “The Guest” by B.A. Paris

“The Guest” by B.A. Paris follows the married couple, Iris and Gabriel, as they return home from a vacation and are greeted by their longtime friend, Laure, who has decided to stay with them. Laure and her husband are having marital troubles, and Iris agrees to let Laure stay with them until they can work it out. But what if they can’t work it out? How long will Laure stay?

There’s a lot more to this novel than what I have described, but I really can’t delve into it without giving away spoilers. Just know that the epilogue is a huge part of this story, and it can’t be brushed over. Don’t peek ahead either, because it will absolutely ruin the experience of the story.

Overall, just know there’s a lot of domestic drama in this one, which I absolutely enjoyed thoroughly. There’s death, secrets, marital problems, lots of red herrings, and internal struggles. It was really quite something; when you throw the epilogue into the mix, it will knock your socks off.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5
