New Review – “The Quiet Tenant” by Clémence Michallon

“The Quiet Tenant” by Clémence Michallon follows two women, Emily and “Rachel,” and their relationships with Aiden Thomas, a serial killer. The woman who goes by “Rachel” is Aiden’s latest victim, having been held captive by him for five years. Emily is a restaurant owner whom Aiden has set his sights on after his wife passes away. Emily and Aiden start a romantic relationship after his wife’s death. Will she remain safe from the serial killer? We get to know “Rachel” and experience her day-to-day life. Will she ever escape?

What the heck did I just read!? This is a banger of a story! I couldn’t get enough of it, and I enjoyed it thoroughly. It’s a quick-paced read at only 365 pages that explores the day-to-day life of “Rachel” and her internal struggles as she tries to escape the wrath of Aiden. The psychological hold Aiden has on “Rachel” is extreme and very realistic in reflecting a hostage mentality. Five years have been stolen from “Rachel,” but will she ever get her time back? You’ll have to read it to find out.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5
