“We Used to Live Here” by Marcus Kliewer follows two women, Eve and Charlie, as they purchase a home to flip. However, when a man named Thomas unexpectedly visits and wants to show his family around the house where he grew up, things start to become strange in the house.
I won’t lie; most of this book was an uninteresting slow burn, but the ending was a total banger.
This story is full of strange paranormal events that will make you question your sanity. Don’t get me started on the ending; it was absolutely mind-boggling! It left me with so many questions, and quite frankly, I felt frustrated for the main character, Eve.
If you’re going to read this, my only advice is to stick with it. The ending is where all the action happens, and you don’t want to miss it. Just be aware that the outcome is not as desirable as one would hope.
